Up Date-2-SRI LANKA-Eastern Provincial Councial Election -2008,all Postal votes has won by UPFA.Trincomalee-4938(62.17%)Ampara-4722(55.24%)Batticalo-2159(51.72%) according to the Sri Lanka Election Department result.
UNP won 2481 postal votes in Trincomalee,Batticalo-1282Ampara-3401,leading second place.Number of postal voters -22133 and total valid votes - 20665 .
