Mervin agrees to pay Rs. 750,000 to Sirasa

I don't have any problem s with journalists-Minister Mervin Silva

SRI LANKA- Minister of Labor Relations and Manpower Mervin Silva promised not to mess about the duties of any journalist in future before the Supreme Court yesterday(17).

Minister Mervin Silva gave this promise when the Supreme Court gave the verdict of the fundamental rights petition filed by Sirasa TV and the journalists intimidated by the Minister at the opening ceremony of the second stage of the Kelaniya flyover.

Outside the courtroom , the minister said that journalists should act in a disciplined manner.
“I don't have any problem s with journalist s or media owners but if you are supporting the tigers then that's where I have a problem
