'Cricket Players Hurt In Pakistan Shootings'

Breaking News

Several Sri Lankan cricket players have been wounded in shootings near the Pakistan cricket ground, according to reports.

Gunmen are believed to have opened fire on the Sri Lankan cricket team's vehicle
A Pakistan Cricket Board official has said the team members were hurt after gunmen opened fire on their vehicle.
Five police officers have been killed in the attack near the Gadaffi stadium in Lahore, according to the AFPnews agency.
Sources said up to eight of the players had been wounded.
Batsman Kumar Sangakkara is believed to be among the injured, according to team manager Brendon Kruppu.
Sri Lankan sports minister Gamini Lokuge said two players, Tharanga Paranavitana and Thilan Samaraweera, had been taken to hospital.
Skipper Mahela Jayawardena has been hurt in the foot, other reports suggested.sky news
