Sri Lanka Marxist party sues against breakaway rebel leader's appointment to parliament
SRI LANKA- Sri Lanka Marxist People's Liberation Front (JVP) General Secretary Tilvin Silva filed a fundamental rights petition yesterday against appointing ex-rebel leader Vinayagamurthi Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman to the parliament through national list. JVP sought the Supreme Court to issue two injunctions to suspend Karuna's swearing in and to appoint JVP nominee Sujith Kuruvita to the parliamentary seat. -Colombopage
