An unidentified group of motorcyclists attacked Rivira weekend newspaper editor Upali Thennakoon and his wife
. The attack took place this morning (23) at Imbulgoda. The attackers followed Thennakoon and as the speed of his vehicle down blocked the vehicle. They broke the windows of the vehicle and assaulted the editor. When his wife attempted to guard Thennakoon, she was also attacked. With the screams of the victims, the group of attackers fled the scene in the motorcycles they came. Thennakoon and his wife were admitted in Colombo national hospital and their condition was not serious, said hospital sources.
