Lorries return to Vavuniya :

SRI LANKA-WANNI: Fifty World Food Programme lorries carrying essential food items, medicine and other dry rations for Wanni civilians were forced to return to Vavuniya due to LTTE artillery fire and claymore mine attacks yesterday.. Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said that the convoy loaded with essential food items had crossed the Omanthai entry/exit point.
The Commissioner general Of Essential Services S.B.divarathna said that press briefing in Colombo yesterday, LTTE try to blok these food convoy as a food weapon against to the Wanni civilians. source -dailynews-pix- file
